The Boca Grande Farmers Market is excitedly preparing for the October 2, 2015 opening of Season 2. This year, the market is concentrating on bringing increased fresh organic vegetables and high-end gourmet delights. After working with several Sarasota County based culinary and epicurean groups focused on transitioning the county to healthier lifestyle choices, BGFM is newly inspired to bring more education and information to island residents and visitors from Lee and Charlotte counties. The market is moving to a greater percentage of local farmers and farm products, increased variety in entertainment, and more offerings in general.
Applications are now being accepted through the summer. Please visit the “Vendor App” page on the website or call 941/875.5190 or write firstname.lastname@example.org. The market is accepting both established small businesses and cottage industry business applications for its fabulous Friday farmers fun on the Ball Field.
Many of the fine vendors who began with us in Season 1 are scheduled to return again. During Season 2, BGFM will offer delivery service to on-island residents in the form of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). The market is also actively seeking to establish a community garden for all and presently engaging land donation benefactors. We look forward to seeing you all in just 15 weeks.
